The History of {{A-BS}}
American-bloodSport was originally made up of four friends who loved First Person Shooter (FPS) games, and wanted to start a gaming club for people who had the same interests. They wanted a website that was specifically set up as a one-stop shop for everything and anything that had to do with online and FPS games. These four friends lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the original name of the club was called
So in the summer of 2002, the website was born. The club
grew in size by gamers that played online games together. They set up monthly
LAN (Local Area Network) parties to get together and have a good time. Like everything, all good things must come to an end. In the spring
of 2003, two of the original members moved away to seperate states. Since the club members were not together for LAN parties, the site had to go national. So in winter of 2003, American-BloodSport was officially the new club name. The site went
months of neglect due to other responsibilities, and almost met it's end. The two friends that moved away kept in touch, and decided either to dump the website and have a total loss, or repair it from the ground up. Since we are still here, you know what they decided to do. The club became a Counter-Strike Clan, and is now hosting online servers available to all that want to play 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In November of 2004, {{A-BS}} merged with a RavenShield/Athena Sword clan named Death Metal Militia: clan tag {DMM} for a larger support group. Both clans support the Battlefield 2 Mod community, and host a U.S. Intervention server for the public. If you are interested in becoming an {{A-BS}} or {DMM} member, please register for our forums and post a request. From all of us here in the A-BS and DMM family, welcome and enjoy the games.
